This Mobile Learner blog serves as my learning journal which captures research, articles and involvement as an EdTech researcher and a PhD student in Mobile Learning.

Since completing my first master in information technology in 2009, I have developed an active interest in mobile learning, and in 2011, I started in the PhD program at Lancaster University in E-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning. I have completed the stage 1 of the PhD program and I have since chosen to exit the program with a Master of Research in Apr 2014. I am now completing my PhD thesis at the University of Wolverhampton following my passion in Mobile Learning.

Besides my research interest,  I had been an entrepreneur, a professional manager, and had been working in the charity & education sector.  Since Jul 2014, I have joined Chatteris Educational Foundation in Hong Kong as their new Chief Executive Officer. I also teach as part-time lecturer at City University of Hong Kong for AIS3301 Science, Technology and Society for Computing in 2013 Semester A, and COM3413 Writing for Public Relations in 2014 Semester B, and also for HKUSPACE /Charles Sturt University for ITC542 Internetworking & IP Networks for 2014. I am also a business case writer and trainer for UCSI BOSRC in Blue Ocean Strategy.

I am a practitioner in service learning and in my last job as the Executive Director for Kids4Kids charity, I have mentored and supervised over 200+ students from high schools and universities – for example - CUHK graduate students studying COM5725 Setting the Agenda through Social Media, HKUST Year 2 students studying Global Business, CityU Hong Kong FYP students. These students are usually engaged in some form of service learning projects where they helped the community organisation in creating impact.  My specific research interest is to study the use of mobile technologies in the supporting this pedagogical practices in service learning.  If you are a researcher and teaching faculty in Hong Kong and would like to implement some form of service learning and would like to collaborate in research, please feel free to write to me.
