Meet Informatics Education Ltd – Pioneering MLEARN in Asia HE/FE sector

Mobile Learning as used in Formal Education, Assessment and accredited has been much talked about, but I recently had an opportunity to review a company (yes a company) that is listed in the main board of Singapore Stock Exchange that had Mobile Learning as a strategy since 2003.

Informatics Education is based in Singapore – and have a worldwide network of education centers and is the investor/owner of UK NCC Education (a company that certifies and offer Computer/ICT curriculum). Informatics Education does not offer degree courses but works with partnering university around the world.

The company’s annual report did not disclose the amount of revenue it derives through e-learning or mobile learning but maintain an active interest to augment the delivery and pedagogy of using latest technologies. Some of the websites of this can be found at the following links

A new month in August – pivoting, operating milestones, papers

I am about to start reviewing more literature and papers relating to professional practice in Archivist, KM practitioners and librarians and assessing the type of ICT and Web 2.0 educational technologies and how these emergent methods (online, mobile, social, pervasive) computing-enabled , whether synchronous or asynchronous in nature can deliver the promise social learning and group learning, collaborative learning outcomes.

And this month just happen to be a new month for our ClassBooking and team as we moved out of nice office at Cyberport and now be closer to our customers having a smartspace office in Central.

And for myself, i will be picking up the case study in BOS to revisit how to complete it and end the chase.
